Having worked in the field of health and wellbeing for more than 20 years, I have a compassionate understanding of humanity and one that is always deepening. I provide a gentle, safe and confidential space that allows any inner turmoil to be expressed and shared without judgement, whether during the exploration of specific issues, or as part of a general process of developing greater self-awareness.

Have a read through my various blog posts about specific issues such as anxiety, eating disorders and trauma to get a sense of my approach.

I trained in Psychotherapy over twenty years ago while having small children, and then had a big career diversion. With my young family I ended up lived in Australia for nearly three years before I returned to the UK to set-up a family business, which required my full attention for almost a decade!

It was with great joy that I returned to my first career love supporting people who are in crisis, or simply struggling to find their way in life.

To get ‘back in the saddle’ so to speak, I expanded my knowledge and experience by training in Integrative Counselling (Level 5 Diploma), followed by a post qualifying Diploma in Counselling Children & Young People (Level 7 Diploma). Subsequently I completed a MSc in Psychology and a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology.

Since 2020, I have been running a now renowned 10-week Trauma Programme funded by the local authority in Bath, England, where I also work, specifically with Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) or single event trauma.

The aim is to eventually also bring the Trauma Programme to Belfast and offer it free of charge through one of the local authority services – in the meantime this service can be offered privately.

I also have had considerable success offering tailor-made programs for individuals with Eating Disorders, and have helped various organisations in London develop a mental health strategy for their employee wellbeing.
